Wensday Night Bible Study "Wanna Be To Reality"

If you take your Papa's real quick we go jump right into some word. Look up your Bibles and repeat after me Lord. I Thank you that I have a Bible. It is my personal copy of God's purpose God's plan and God's design for my lights. Therefore. I am a believer and not a dollar. I'm not just a hearer but I'm also would do her in my life has been better after hearing the word of the Living God. Therefore my mind is alert. My heart is receptive. I will not be distracted, but I will hear from yesterday in the morning and as a result of what I hit a day, I'm going to leave here better than I came in Jesus name we pray. Amen. Amen. We began talking about Jeremiah and we began to dealing with How does how do you see each other how we see one another? So this week I want to take that a little bit further and deal with this topic from one of these two reality from one of these to reality this this mindset of misunderstanding. Like I said last week when we dealt with Jeremiah we understood how God dealt with Jeremiah in the beginning of the chapter where you said, I knew you before you were formed in your mother's womb. I consecrated you I Sanctified you. I called you a prophet to the Nations and because he called us to a property called Jeremiah to a prophet to the nations of what God is calling us to in the world Amen. So if we understand that and we believe that and we realize what God is calling us into and how he is calling us out of Darkness Into His Marvelous Light. We have to get some principles in at some understanding of going from one of these to reality want to be I was thinking about this as I Was preparing for Bible study this evening. Wannabe. I remember when I was 20 years old and my physique at 20 years old and and how physically fit I was there and at 43. I'm not the same person that I was when I was 20 and sometimes it gets in my mind and gets into my heart that I want to be what I used to be. I want to be how I how I used to live. I want to experience things the way that I used to experience and I know I can't express things like that and so much so that even in the kingdom of God kingdom of God, you're you're you're giving your life to Christ. We're trying to become a good Christian. We're trying to continue and walk this narrow, but sometimes then I must we go back to a place of who we used to be and we want to experience sometimes things that we experience. And so now we're understanding that and we're dealing with that. We have to get to a place where we run. Standing that God is constantly trying to finish that. I know and I spend on Foundation the Scripture it says it's he who has begun a good work in us with your performance until the day of Jesus Christ. So he's always constantly dealing with us transforming us renewing our mind as Romans 12:1 and 2/3 ibct Brothers by the mercies of God that you present your body as a Living Sacrifice acceptable and hold each, which is your reasonable service and be transformed by the renewing of your mind to toe renewing of the mind is part of the process of becoming finished becoming a completed working. Becoming a completed a person that understands God's plan and God's purpose for I like for this evening. I want us to deal with some scriptures for this evening because got in God's eyes. There are no one of these that I went and got eyes. He is already done everything possible and made it. Us to be like him and become what he is already all day. So we going to look at scripture on this evening and we're going to start looking at the third chapter the 1st through the 1st John 3rd Chapter looking at the 1st through the 3rd verse. We're going to read from The New American Standard Bible and it should be on your screen right now. John is not one of the gospels is I know there's Matthew Mark Luke and John but first job is not one of the gospels. Did you turn towards the end of the New Testament? You'll find three letters from John and we're dealing with the first one. I just want to make sure you're in the right places once I start I don't want you to be like all the third chapter in the first through the third verse is this it says see how great of love the father has bestowed on us that we would be called children of God and we are his reason the world does not know us Because it did not know him. Be Love now we are children of God and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when he appears we will be like him because as Jesus as he is inverse number 3 says this and everyone who has this. Hope fixed on him purifies himself just as he is pure just as he is. So we're going from a place once again from one of these to reality T. Those who have received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior are called to be like him and we're going to deal with what that means to be cold and be just like Jesus. I know that we always seen it and we sing the statements that said wwjd. What would Jesus do that's been out for about 25 years. I'm not going to dig myself for this been out for a very long time and in the process of understanding, what do we do to be like Jesus and beginning to take the nature of him we have What is the nature of Christ I know which we we we go through the mindset of Christ was humble Christ was holy Christ was all of these things but how to exemplify in our life the nature and the embodiment of who Christ was I know a lot of times when we deal with situations that we deal with problems because we don't want to act like Christ back. We don't want to be with Christ was in the Earth are physical man in our physical nature and our emotional man, once to handle situations the way that we should we do later we've been trained to and how will we train we were trained from Life Experiences. We were trained from hurt. We were turning from different situations that have gone extinct list a certain mindset for each and every last one of us is how we deal with things and a lot of time that's not rooted and grounded in the price at what price did or how to be like him, but what Like crap, I'm glad you are asked this evening to be like Christ is simply this those who have received Christ as Savior are called to be like him. And the first thing that we deal with we are to take on his nature. We learn his ways then we practiced them. So we don't just read a scripture in the Bible we find ways in our life to make those scriptures practical we find ways and I life in our everyday experiences to read the day before or the night before or what we heard in Sunday service or what we're learning tonight and bible study. We learn how to take on his nature. Yes. His nature was wholly yes, his nature was humble, but she's also came with a purpose and a plan and if he came with a purpose and a plan. We can no longer sit around saying I don't know what I'm going to do with my life. I don't know who I'm going to be with my life. I don't know where my life path is Spanish because now we have to identify who's we are who we are and what his purpose is in the earth. Jesus came that we might have life and have it more abundantly. He came to teach us that no greater love that. He said A man gives it to lay down his life for his friend. He came to teach us to be kind to be gentle to operate in love and compassion for your fellow person not to always count judgment or take judgment over every last person to Jesus came that we can see life from a Godly person stronger. It does not mean that you're not going to have days where you're like God. I just don't want to get out the bed. I don't want to deal with them but we have to get up and we have to continue to know because if Christ is Holy he said if I am a really big so now we have to understand and identify and continue to operate and what he said somebody is nature. So secondly, we got to understand this simple thing on his lyncher. We have to take his word. That means we got to change some ways. We talked we got to change some ways we act that means we got we got we got what I know the Bible say the life and death lies in the power of the trunk. I know that the power of the tongue has the power is like a two-edged sword that has the power to kill and has the power to lift up. I know that the Bible says out of the Out of the mouth flows the issues of the heart. So if we have to take on his word, that means we have to recondition our part that means we have to let go of some things sorted out of my mind so that we can take on the word of Christ. We can identify with Christ has a has mandated for our life. We have to know how to be silent in the mist of the fight. We got to know how to be silent in the midst of adversity and not just say the first thing that comes to my mind we have to be humble but I can't I can't do that. You might be able to do that, but you don't get it who I do it. You don't know who you don't know that demon that's in my house when I get home. You don't know that person that's working next to me in the other cubicle. You don't know how I got to go in there day after day and it's true. This person tried to accept this person and sometimes I just don't want to speak to this person. I don't even want to look at that person. Will my answer to this is how many feet

I really wish to identify just what God is saying about it and not only that so first we take on his nature second we take on his word. Currently we have to take on his power. Power from on high means we have to allow the Holy Spirit to lead us never allow the Holy Spirit to be our God. We have to allow the Holy Spirit to come and help us conduct ourselves. And in the way that we should know. We have to allow the Holy Spirit to Bridle us to be our comforter to be our God to be our friend to be an advocate for us. Sometimes we just not going to be able to fight what the scripture say anything. we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against powers and principalities so sometimes

Make sure that you're automatically carrying does not allow the power of God to work in your life. You begin to Dish? your witness because you were to raise up and have dominion and authority over when you're supposed to have dominion and authority over your flesh from now in my flesh is operating and leading my how can I log? My life that's causing my nature to be a certain way. How am I saying that I'm a Child of God because I quit becoming a child of God means I gave myself over to the wheel the purpose in the plan of God for my life. I gave myself over to be finished by him. Santa. I can't do this anymore. I'm not capable of directing my own life but a lot of times we give God that that confession at the cross where where her we were broken where were in an emotional place where I spirit is hurt. But as soon as we get restored you say, okay. I would take that back. Replay. I'm going to take back to control and I'll be back to you when I need you. Instead of saying. Here I am I may not do it right all the time. But here I am. I may not like what you say in your words about how my response should be. But I'm going to obey your word why because your power is greater than anything I could say yes or no. So not only that we take on his nature we take on his words we take on his power, but then we have to do this. We have to Pure ourselves. We have to get our months price of spirits, right? I told you what was 12 Romans 12 1 & 2 ibcc brother and by the mercies of your body as a living sacrifice in order to be a sacrifice. That means I have to be curious to hear. Nobody wants a dirty sacrificed. So when I get my work to Christ the Bible said that I am done made new so now if he made me new then I should be able to Myself each day in a way that's pleasing to God. I'll be presenting ourselves each day in a way that's pleasing to God.

The spirit of the Lord is the foundation of our church. So if I'm accepting Liberty, that means I'm no longer bound by I'm no longer by my language. I'm no longer bound by my old nature when I am set free. I am rid of all of those things that made me a rest before and so now I have to identify this I have to bring myself into a place where I'm purifying myself constantly. It's just like taking a bath everyday will every night. You should be taking a bath. I'm not going to be funny.

What I'm saying is everyday you take a bath because you want to get the day's folks wet dirt off of your body. Because if you lay down in the bed and you have not showered or bullied, you can't really fall asleep because it makes you feel a certain way. You don't feel clean the same way spiritually the sins that we committed for that day, whether they sins of omission and sins of omission if we're not God forgive me of my sins are the same messed to remain on us. We're allowing the same since we're beginning to clone yourself and send once again and then we wonder why out when we wake up my spirit has vexed only certain things on ITV overnight really certain things playing in our house overnight. We don't get into a worship time for prayer time a time of fasting a timer just concentrating our self and then we wonder why we are in a wannabe State and I reality reflects what we're not doing. I reality reflects the things that we have allowed back into our system if I want to lose weight, I can't allow sugars into my system. I can't take after take after Kate and then don't exercise and don't work out and don't do things to make sure I'm burning calories because I keep eating cake and cake and cake. I'm going to put on pounds and my health is going to go down but we did when I begin to put on a diet I'll be gentle with the effects of what I've already done put so much in meth and still all around the Bible says we were born into sin Shake. We have to begin to change my life from the wannabes. I want to be safe, but I'm headed to Clinton right now that I want you to say, I don't want to be saved but say I am single because I'm changing from a one of these place to what I'm calling into existence speak those things that are not as though they were so I'm going from this wannabe mindset to what I want my reality to be and I'm calling my reality right now is life and death lies in the power of the trunk. I am beginning to speak my reality right now if whatever it is that I want and I'm expecting. To do I got to begin to write the vision and make it plain. It's your comfy pants. So now I'm acting us Provisions God's plan God's will to come to pass. I need to write some things down about what I need to change about my life. And now my only do I'm writing it down but I'm beginning to speak that thing is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen by faith. The worlds were opening up my mouth and say I'm coming out of this situation. I'm not staying in the situation. I'm not just going to say. I want to be somewhere else. I want a new job. I want a new place. I need that America. I need a better relationship.

I'm going to begin to operate in my gift God. I'm not going from one of these places. I'm speaking my reality my reality that right now I'm in a place where I got to begin to glorify God for who and for what I know he's capable of doing. So now we we we got to this thing of understanding what it means to be like Christ when Jesus was on the cross. He had even taken his last breath, but his last word was what is finished? He spoke that thing into existence before he even came out of the grave. Already knew what was going to take place and he spoke it was fake. But once I've already defeated the grave, I've already defeated about me taking the keys back. Are you still in the car already? I'm speaking but I'm getting ready to do because he because of the power that operated in him the Holy Spirit we can go to the Pentecost Sunday but is not this weekend is May 31st. We going to shout and praise at the end of the month, but I'm trying to tell you that we have to tap into the power of the Holy Spirit store. How do we test we open our mouths will begin to glorify God. We open our mouths with begin to speak his words we take on his nature and we purify ourselves. Not only that now I need us to look at Ephesians 5 verses 26 and 27. How do we purify ourselves? I want to make this so that you can see this week Europe ourselves Ephesian Spa on 26 and 27 says this so that he might sanctify her having cleanser by the washing of the water with the word. Like how do you wash of the water with the word because in John 1 and 1 the Bible says what in the beginning was the word and the Word was with God and the Word was God, who is God Jesus is God. When's the church by the washing of the water, which is what water? It's enough of us with the Holy Spirit get that so he was searched by the washing of the Holy Spirit when hit on Word.

I did the work for them so they can get back to us and get back to right relationship purify ourselves. Unhealthy relationships. It just not exclusive to the people that we're in a significant other type of relationship. unhealthy relationships can start with family members Did the verbal abuse? Unhealthy relationships can be those people that we put our stuff around that causes us to act a certain way when we're trying to change our Behavior unhealthy relationships to even be down to what we're in it and how we indulge in comfort food that can be an unhealthy relationship the way we can be unhealthy relationship because you have confided in this entity to bring you Solace and incompetence or or or or to be allowed it to be something that you rely on for peace and now it's become an unhealthy relationship. You rely on that more than you will praying to God. You rely on calling that girlfriend, you know that they're going to seize every negative nature in your life until you to do all manners of evil before you before you even think about getting down on your knees. And what you do is you go listen to them and then when they're playing fields or when it does not make you feel good. You got keyed up his car you done went and in and talk to her girl. And and now you're at a place where you like I still don't feel good. that's because you allowed an unhealthy relationship to have rain over your life so we got to put away from unhealthy relationships what else do we have to do this is the big one and I need everybody to look at themselves and say this and look at this you have to purify yourself from unhealthy self image we we constantly look at the media or how we should look in the world for how we should look into and what I self esteem should look like and what images should look like we constantly stay in the media and attracting ourselves to things that we see on videos things that we see on movies things that we hear on the radio I got to be this I got to be that's because you have adopted what the world says you should look like you know that it makes you uncomfortable to wear certain kind of close but because Society accepts that is excited from most that you will wear it and know you don't feel good on the inside Knowing that that's not how you want to look knowing that that's not the image. You want to portray knowing that this is not what you want to do and you and your constantly forget that God said that he created you. He created you in His image and in his life. So instead of you understand of you believing that you look like the image of God that God wanted you to be guess we can all use self-improvement everybody here to see something but you have to believe on the inside of you that you're not that you that you look like the image of God. So if your filthy language does not match the image of God, what should you get rid of if your filthy Behavior does not match with the image of God looks like what should you be trying to get rid of unhealthy self-image causes us to continue to fall in detriment continues to help us a reminder on our what the world says about us and not rely on what God sends. Somebody say I got to get rid of my unhealthy self-image. I next it.

Define ourselves means we have to get away from the desire and the temptation to under achieve. But what does that have to do with purifying God created You In His Image? And God said for you to be God said that you were the head and not the tail, but you constantly put yourself in a position that you're under the table receiving the scrap because you believe that you're not worthy of God's grace and God's mercy and blessing. So you constantly put yourself air on the side of if I underachieved nobody expects anything from me if I underachieve I don't have to worry about failing at something if I under achieved that means I fly under the radar. Nobody bothers me. Nobody says anything to me nobody expects anything from me and I just coast along on light living the best life that I think for underachiever when I know that I'm capable of better. Somebody say I'm capable. And because you're capable of better, it should constantly that's your spirit that you're being under cheaper that you're not operating to your best of your abilities your gear send people Advance because you have to come to that Temptation. You see people move ahead because you have circum to the temptation of Saint I ain't got to do it. I'm okay. I'm fine. I don't need anything else. This is all that I want for my life. So it is not about what you used to think or what you thought you should be but now we're going to become what God wants us to be if you open up if I was now we're going to go to the Book of John. That's the Gospel of John that's in the beginning of the New Testament Matthew Mark Luke John in the Bible says this He came to his own and those who were his own did not receive them. But as many as what received him to them he gave the right to become children of God even to those who believe in his name. And who were born not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but God. I'm a repeat that repeat that cuz I need you to hear who were his own and those who were his own did not receive it. We know that Jesus was talk that the scripture is John was talking about that. Jesus went back to Galilee. He went back to the Jews and they did not receive if they didn't receive the word. They didn't want to believe that he was the son of God. They didn't want to believe that he that he had Authority and power to get everything all the way up to killing him to say that he was not the Son of God, but we know that he did not come to his own he did they did not receive him. So now the gospel was open up to fool the Gentile. It was open up to everybody else out of those that were chosen by God to be God's people now it was open up to the Gentile. It wasn't just open up to the gentle, but he said as many as received him. As many as accept him as their lord and savior he gave them to right to become children of God if I'm a Child of God, I have authority. He said, are the joint Heir with Christ Jesus. He said I'm adopted in the Beloved and because you're adopted we get the adoption and being a foster child or two different things adopted and just living in a house with the families are two different things. What's your adopted by the below? What's your adopted by God? You not only live in the Mansion you have power and authority in the Mansion you have power and Dominion in the earth. You have power and Dominion when it comes to speaking the name of Jesus name of Jesus every knee shall bow left the name of Jesus every tongue shall confess that the name of gee When I go you'll be able to do Greater Works than I did because I'm coming this. Show me baby can children of God in you become to a child of God do what you'll be able to do Greater Works than what Jesus. Did you be able to declare? That means you'll be able to speak the word of God. That means you'll be able. That means you don't have dominion over than some of the following are the fish of the sea every creepy thing that calleth upon. You will have dominion over these things and we have to get out of the month that once against that we're walking around here with shackles. We got to get. We got to get out of the month of this denominational understanding of the word of God and get to a place where ripping the word of God for what the word of God kids too many times were Bound by the laws and the in the precept of somebody who created a denomination are being bound by stupid.

Who said be equally yoked with Jesus. Jesus walked in the way that I want. Why is it that we would rather be with these old traditions that were not based upon God based upon and their beliefs in their understanding or what? They thought Mike was the proper wound and direction to instead of a buying by what the word of God. I'm going from Waterbury to reality.

What reality is that? I'm going to be like Jesus in the earth. I may fall short every day. But when I wake up the next morning, my first declaration is Lord make me more like you. What I want to look like your I want to talk like, you know, I want to be like you. I want to I want to deal with people the way you did. We're with fearful of really reaching out to God because we don't want a lot of times will say stuff out of our mouths that we don't believe we've stayed with will will say all the greatest cliches but a lot of times we operate in the Bible says that God has not given us a spirit of fear. But of love power and a sound everybody has gone through a fearful experience, but when you allow the spirit of fear, you're not allowing the power of God and His Holy Spirit, God I'm fearful of stepping out. I'm fearful of going back to school. I'm fearful of doing this goddamn fearful because this this lifestyle has provided all this for me in about walk away from this lifestyle got to serve you. What am I going to do? We operate in fear God if I don't stay here with him that my life won't ever be better. Got it bust it. If I don't leave her then then what am I going to do?
